Shashi Tharoor

I have heard of Shashi Tharoor sometime before when he was on the final list for UN General Secretary post. I believe he lost that because someone vetoed him. I couldn’t reason it out. No politics here.. I read this article about him in rediff this morning and it seems hez quite a personality..

Here is his brief biography from Wikipedia..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shashi_Tharoor

One particular para in that inspired me a lot.. it says
“Tharoor began writing at the age of 6 and his first published story appeared in the “Bharat Jyoti” in Mumbai at age 10. His World War-II adventure novel Operation Bellows, inspired by the Biggles books, was serialized in the Junior Statesman starting a week before his 11th birthday.”

I donno if I could have been able to write a sentence correctly in English when I was 6.. maybe thatz the reason why I am still in this small cubicle world while he was conquering the world..

Reuters has this article about how Malaysian authorities used sniffer dogs to find pirated DVD’s..

I just couldn’t believe how dogs can be trained to sniff ‘pirated’ dvd’s.. I donno if there is a smell difference between a normal dvd and a pirated dvd.. or maybe they can find only if a cupboard or room contains dvd’s.. and authorities has to check if it is original or pirated..

I don’t have a pet and don’t know how much do they can sniff.. what do you think?..
